Wine Talk
Spring is somewhat here and the wine list is slowly evolving from the weight and depth of winter wines to flavours that are fresh, bright and youthful.
The profile of the list is still ever so eclectic with many grape varieties that some may not be familiar with. But I am sure the flavours and sensorial experience will be appreciated nonetheless. There are many wines that will suit your fancy, just ask for a taste and you will find what you are looking for. The experience of tasting some new and undiscovered wine has always given me great pleasure and I am pretty sure it will create an ever so enjoyable memory for you as well when all is said and done.
This month we've brought in some fantastic wines from north Italy, Alto-Adige to be exact. The house of Tiefenbrunner has always been one my favourites.

Using for the most part only indigenous varieties such as Pinot Bianco, Lagrein and Muller Thurgau, Tiefenbrunner has created a name for itself internationally.
Last month we ran the Castel Turmhof - Cuvee Anna, a Pinot Grigio/Pinot Bianco blend. The wine was so well received we couldn't keep stock.
This month we've brought in the Castel Turmhof - Lagrein. A wine of deep violet purple. An aroma of fresh dark berry, rounded out by great minerality moving to a palate that is equally fresh with a forest berry sweetness, great food friendly acidity and tannin that create a superb bistro wine. You will have to taste and judge for yourself...Limited quantities. Christopher
